Integrate SMS into Zapier and your own systems

Zapier is our only named product integration, and it is in development. Everything else connects through an interface we already document: the HTTP REST API, the email-to-SMS gateway, SMTP or SMPP. For booking and salon platforms, our plugins and interfaces page covers the two we support directly. If your system isn't covered, tell us and we'll help with the integration.

Zapier

Send an SMS from any Zap using our public HTTP API. In development — the app will use the same documented endpoints as everything else here, and we'll list it in the Zapier directory once it passes review. Authentication will use an API token created in the portal with the sms permission; a token without that permission is rejected. The request and response shapes are in the API reference.

HTTP REST API

The interface to use when your software can make an HTTPS request. Send, cost-check, query delivery state, manage groups, and look up HLR and portability data, all with token authentication and delivery receipts to a callback URL. Documented operation by operation in the API reference, with a practical overview in the HTTP API guide.

Email to SMS

For systems that can send email but cannot make an API call — monitoring tools, ERPs, cron jobs, anything with an SMTP client. Address the message to the mobile number and our gateway submits it. See the email-to-SMS service for setup, or the SMTP API documentation for the exact format.

SMPP

The interface for high-volume senders who need a persistent session, throughput control and delivery receipts over the same session. Suited to contact centres and platforms that already run SMPP clients. See the SMPP interface for connection details.

  • High volume
  • Persistent session

Inbound replies and webhooks

Two-way messaging for replies, opt-outs and confirmations: inbound messages are handed to your systems over HTTP webhook, SMPP or email, configured per number. See two-way SMS and virtual numbers.

Transform Messaging with World-Text

Send SMS messages from one platform. Use the HTTP API for alerts and notifications, or two-way messaging for conversations. Volume pricing and delivery reporting included.
