Credits - Pricing FAQ

Q) What are credits?

Q) How do I purchase credits ?
A) You can purchase with your Paypal account or by Credit Card using World-Pay

Q) I purchased credits and got a receipt but they have not been added to my account.
A) Once you receive a world pay receipt does not mean that funds have been taken from your account. When we approve the transaction only then will the money be taken and the account credited. This is part of our fraud protection policy.

It can take up to 24h to credit an account.
However, you can speed up the crediting of your account by calling us or sending a support/sales request.

Your purchase will be manually approved by one of our salesmen in the following cases

  • If you are a new customer

  • If you made a large purchases

  • If you are doing the purchase from outside the UK (not all foreign countries are concerned)
  • Q) Why does it cost more to send to different countries.
    A) As there are many different networks operating throughout the world we are charged different rates by each network provider. Click here to see a list of credit prices. We endeavor to keep our rates competitive for all countries.

    Q) I have not received my free credits.
    A) This will be due to you not giving us a viable e-mail address. We do not give free credits to customers with hotmail, yahoo etc accounts.

    Q) I purchased 1000 credits but only received 100 messages.
    A) As you will see from the tariffs page you are charges different credits for various destinations. Therefore to send a message to the UK is 10 credits, although sending a message to Japan is 25 credits.

  • Q) I don't want to recieve credit low warning anymore.
    A) Go to the account config page (in the menu, click on my account/account config).
    At the bottom of the account config page, there is a credit low option. Just set it to 0. Alternatively, if you want to recieve credit low warnings, set the credit low warning.

    Account - FAQ

    Q) Why have I not received my “pin code”?.
    A) Did you enter your mobile number correctly? Was it entered in international for (example. A UK telephone number which was 020 123 4567 would be 44 20 123 4567) Check your country code on our provided list. Also you may not have a GSM phone, therefore we can not send it directly to your mobile. Please send an e-mail to support and this will be forwarded to you via e-mail.

    Q) I don’t own a GSM phone but still wish to use your service?.
    A) You should register as usual and then contact support to receive your pin code via e-mail. You will not be able to use our respond service.

    Q) I didn’t receive my confirmation email
    A) You will not receive your confirmation mail if you didn't provide us with a valid source address (in that case you should create another account, or contact us)

    You should check that the mail wasn't discarded by some filters on your email account.

    Q) I didn't input the right email address when i created my account
    A) You should create a new account

    Q) I forgot my login / password
    A) For safety reasons, the password/ login will only be sent to the email address with which you created your account.

    Q) Why has my account been suspended?
    A) This could be for a number of reasons, this includes suspected fraudulent use of the account by you or another person, violation of the terms and conditions etc.

    Email to SMS - SMTP FAQ

    Q) How do i send a sms from my email client ?
    A) You need to send the email to <phonenumber>@sms.world-text.com
    the phonenumber needs to be in international format, without the + or 00 in front
    (eg : 4412345678901@sms.world-text.com for the following UK number 012345678901).

    Q) I sent a sms using the email gateway, but it wasn't delivered

  • Firstly, you should check that you have enough remaining credits

  • If your sms is to be delivered, one of the following statement has to be true :
    - the email was sent from a registered email address, to a registered number

    - the number was set so that anyone can send sms to it

    - the IP address of the machine was setup as “trusted”

    - the email was sent with a secureId

  • If you want to be able to send sms from anywhere, regardless of the number and the email account you send from, you have to send the email with a secureId
  • Q) Can i get delivery/ dispatch receipts for the sms I send ?
    A) To do so, you have to set the delivery option

    Q) How do I set the source address for my email to sms messages ?
    A) You can set the source address in the Email to SMS options

    Q) Is there a way to set-up my account so that the receiver of my sms can text back to me ?
    A) You have to set your source address as “TWOWAY”.

    Q) How can I send a Bulk sms using the SMTP gateway ?
    A) You will find all the information you need in the SMTP Bulk API Specification
